The Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) is a member of the wading bird group that sometimes prefers the fields in cattle country (hence the name of this small heron) where it walks amongst the ruminants. This photograph was taking at its nesting time, when the brown colour areas of its plumage become very prominent as short aigrettes, in Orlando, Florida, USA.
