X-ray image of the leg of 'Biscuit the bionic turkey' taken at the Cambridge University Veterinary School. After the turkey broke his leg, animal surgeons decided to give him a chance and operate using an interlocking nail and screws. *... in a operation lasting two and a half hours. The surgeons anaesthetised him - a rare procedure for turkeys - and used strengthening inserts intended for dogs during operation. Biscuit, rare Bourbon Red turkey, now walks wth a slight limp.
