Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler in Munich, 1938. Mussolini in connection with the negotiations on the occasion of the Sudeten crisis. Right behind Hitler: the general of artillery, Wilhelm Keitel, left behind Mussolini: Hermann Goring. One day later, the signing of the Munich Agreement takes place, which decided the assignment of the border regions of Bohemia (Sudetenland), that was predominantly inhabited by Germans, to the German Reich.
