A man brings flowers to the scene in Bethnal Green, east London, where two firefighters died battling a blaze in a three-storey building. It is understood that the pair were on the top floor of the building, which had a shop on the ground floor and flats above, when it appeared that the floor beneath them gave way. They were seriously injured and rushed to hospital, where they both subsequently died.
