St Pancras, London, is one of the busiest railway stations in the UK. It is graced by stunning Victorian-age iron and glass architecture- as well as this rather more recent huge sculpture, the Meeting Place. This 9-metre-high bronze sculpture of a couple kissing was designed by the British artist Paul Day and unveiled in 2007. Here we see some of the vignettes of city life that can be seen around the base of the main structure. This one shows an amusing but sardonic echo of the embracing couple that appear in the main statue. It appears that the woman may have other priorities...
