Scottish adventurer Jamie Douglas-Hamilton in Port Glasgow ahead of rowing the treacherous seas from Antarctica to South Georgia, in January in aid of the British Heart Foundation for which he hopes to raise over £100,000. The voyage has been named The Harry McNish Row in honour of Shackleton's carpenter who built the boat which saved the crew of the ill-fated Ernest Shackleton Antarctic expedition in the early 1900s. Jamie is recovering from open heart surgery which he underwent in Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary in August 2022. Picture date: Friday December 9, 2022.
