Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat temple complex covers more than 400 acres near Siem Reap. Originally built as a Hindu temple during the 12th century, it was later transformed into a Buddhist temple. The site was nominated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992. Restoration work is ongoing around the site.
