Patrick McNee will be returning from his Palm Springs home to recreate his immortal role of John Steed, and Gareth Hunt who is currently starring in the National Theatre production of Hamlet, will be Steed's male partner. The new series of the AVENGERS will be financed by French money and will have a budget of £4-million for the planned 30 episodes.
