Double-decker bus negotiating through a Lambeth intersection on its route to Streatham Hill also in Lambeth. Red double-decker buses have long been a recognizable symbol of London. They are a common sight throughout the greater London area and are often on tourist lists as a thing to do. The pictured bus in a New Routemaster hybrid bus that sprang on the London scene in 2012 and replaced virtually all of its predecessor Routemaster models which had been a city standard since 1954.
