Izaak Walton wrote "The Complete Angler" in the 17th Century and as a visitor to Bleak House on the banks of the River Lea near where it meets the River Thames at Edmonton in the London Borough of Enfield.It isn't a mansion, but an alehouse where anglers could stay overnight.
