Feb. 28, 2012 - Painter Max Ernst will become 85 years on April 2nd 1976. On April 2nd 1976, painter, sculptor and graphic artist Max Ernst (picture) will become 85 years old. He was born 1891 in Bruhl near Cologne and later studied psychology, philosophy and history of art; 1916 he established together with H. Arp the Dada group. 1922 Max Ernst went to Paris , was one of the initiators of surrealism in painting and become one of the most important exponents of this artistic school. Max Ernst (our picture shows him on a visit to Munich in 1972) lives in Paris.
