More information:

The unqiue Cornish flag is called the Saint Piran's Flag (pronounced Baner Peran in Cornish language). The flag has a black background with a white cross, and has been the standard flag of Cornwall and part of its identity since at least 1838. The flag is attributed to Saint Piran, a 5th-century Cornish abbot. Cornwall is located in the south-west coastal area of England and like the flag has a has a distinct character strongly influened by its coastal landscape and maritime history.
