Children in the streets of the small Christian town of Bartelle, devastated by the IS, at the gates of Mossul. The Christian population was expelled but returned to their homes in large numbers. Some churches could be rebuilt, so that church services can take place there again. Nevertheless, the Christians are now threatened by the Shiite conquerors of the province of Ninawa and the capital Mossul and are being repressed more and more, so that the Christians do not have good prospects for a further life in Bartella.
