An Order of the Golden Grain Eight-pointed star, 3rd class, gilt silver, polychrome enamelled, on originally customised neck ribbon. The order and the miniature ribbon rosette is stored in a black lacquer case with the order and class specification in gold characters. The award was established when the Republic of China was founded in 1912 and only existed until 1929 when it was abolished and replaced by the Order of Brilliant Jade by President Chiang Kai-shek.
