Alexanders - Smyrnium olusatrum - is an edible wild plant mostly associated with coastal districts around UK and temperate Europe. The whole plant is edible. It is a biennial. Once cultivated as a foodstuff this species is now relegated to 'wild plant' status since it has gone out of cultivation.
