A Longpao or dragon robe of a Chinese mandarin Fine, dark-red cotton fabric. Profusely embroidered and decorated with polychrome images from the Chinese culture. Among them dragons, Chinese characters (wedding symbol "Xi"), five openwork round buttons with floral embellishments. Length of coat circa 140 cm. Extremely finely worked piece (gold and silk embroideries) from the time around 1910. According to the consignor, in 1919, Felix Count of Luckner (the "Sea Devil") gave the coat as a wedding gift to Calixta Agnes Princess zur Lippe-Biesterfeld, Additional-Rights-Clearance-Info-Not-Available
