1930s, historical, a male tennis player wearing long trousers and a woollen sweatear, serving on a grass court at the famous Wimbledon tennis championships, owned and run by the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, founded in 1868. The first gentleman's tennis championships were held in 1877, when the service motion was underarm.
