Alamy is an ecommerce business that sells stock images, footage and live news imagery to customers around the world. It’s an exciting time at Alamy, our business is growing, and we are continually working towards expanding our reach.

The Role:

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you’ll be responsible for leading an experienced sales team in growing revenue and market share within the editorial segment, including large book and magazine publishers as well as television and film accounts, to reach ambitious targets in the North American market.

Sales

  • Accountable for the success of the editorial sales team, making sure team and individual revenue and KPI targets are consistently met and account opportunities are fully exploited
  • Plan and execute editorial sales strategy to hit annual targets set by VP of Sales and head office
  • Propose and negotiate bold deals with high level contacts to achieve strong market share and revenue commitments
  • Target opportunities for new business development

Team Management

  • Hold regular one-to-one meetings with team to review monthly revenue and KPI performance, achievement against objectives and account strategy
  • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews with individual team members, determine if any skill and knowledge gaps and plan accordingly to correct
  • Highlight opportunities for sales team efficiencies and work with relevant departments to achieve

Reporting

  • Responsible for reporting on sales team and individual performance as well as individual account performance
  • Regularly report on market segment knowledge, opportunities and challenges to VP of Sales to support strategic planning

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a strong leader, with a proven track record of engaging and motivating a sales team to exceed targets
  • Is confident presenting to creatives and key decision makers at all levels within accounts
  • Has a proven track record of negotiating high revenue deals with large editorial accounts
  • Has experience planning and executing a successful sales strategy
  • Has excellent and up-to-date knowledge of all editorial market sectors and high-level customer contacts

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems

It’d be great, but not essential if you have:

  • Experience in the stock photo industry
