Several pasos of the Good Friday procession Camino del Calvario stand in front of Cuenca Cathedral, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain: a mounted figure, a cross and a figure of Christ on a tall ladder. Construction of the Cathedral of Santa María y San Julián began in 1182 and it was consecrated in 1208, making it, in its French-influenced Gothic style, one of the country's earliest Gothic buildings. Its present façade was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style after a partial collapse in 1902. During Semana Santa in Cuenca, 33 Hermandades take part in eleven processions through the city during Holy Week.
