STOCKIMO HAS SUNSET

Discover our new Smartphone Upload route

Released in 2014 Stockimo was a dedicated app for iPhone photographers to upload their mobile phone images to the Alamy platform. For over 10 years Alamy received, hosted and licensed some of the most stunning, inspiring, creative and trending imagery that can be taken on a smartphone.

Continuing to recognize the dynamic possibilities that smartphone imagery has to offer, we’ve now created the opportunity to upload mobile phone photos to a wider group of photographers. The Stockimo App is no longer available on the App Store, but contributors can now upload mobile phone photography direct to Alamy via our new Smartphone Upload route.

How do I sign up to Alamy?

If you’re a photographer and want to start submitting your images to Alamy, you can learn about the benefits of joining here. We want to see the best of what you have to offer, whether you’re a mobile phone photographer or use a DSLR camera, so we can give you a platform to showcase your content and license your photography with our customers.

How do I upload my photos?

You can upload your mobile phone images to Alamy through Version 1 of Smartphone Upload. This can be done direct from your smartphone by signing into Alamy from your phone’s browser, or by using your laptop/desktop to upload your smartphone photos. Image management tasks, such as adding captions and tags (to get your images on sale), can currently only be done through your laptop or desktop. What phones do you accept?

We'll accept most photos taken on any main-brand smartphone that was released in 2020 or later. We’ll also accept images taken on DSLRs (or equivalent). However, almost all compact cameras, fixed lens cameras, SLR-Bridge like cameras and smartphones released pre-2020 cannot produce images that meet our guidelines.

How will photos be reviewed?

In spirit of the Stockimo review process, the Alamy Quality Control Team will review smartphone images based on content, creativity and saleability, not just technical quality. We’d advise that for smartphone uploads your photos are of a similar quality to images uploaded here.
