An old red British Telephone box turned into a village lending library, next to an old pillarbox (still emptied) The kiosk in the centre of Great Budworth is now being stocked up with books after the parish council bought it from British Telecom for £1. "We are going to use it as a book exchange and are hoping people drop off books." Children in the village are among those involved in the project. A three month trial period is under way to see how well the scheme works. If it is deemed a success then it will become permanent.
