Former Greenall's Wilderspool brewery in Warrington. The photograph shows substantial red-brick historic brewery frontage with tower, pitched roof and small cupola. Its later adaptation to offices and residential use illustrates a change from brewing to mixed occupancy in Warrington. A red-brick former Greenall’s brewery complex includes a clock tower, copper-coloured roof details and later additions. The building stands as an example of industrial architecture adapted to new uses. The former Greenall Whitley brewing complex is characterised by red brickwork, gabled rooflines, an ornate clock tower and distinctive Victorian industrial architecture. Greenall's Wilderspool brewery closed in the early 1990s, after which sections of the site were reused for commercial and residential purposes. The surviving tower and associated buildings provide a visible link to Warrington's industrial brewing heritage and the adaptation of large historic workplaces.
