Entrance to Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero inside Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Chamberlain Square, Birmingham, West Midlands. A large illuminated red and yellow Ozzy Osbourne logo dominates the black exhibition wall beside the gallery walkway, with visitors moving through museum displays beyond. The free exhibition celebrates the solo achievements, international awards and cultural impact of Birmingham-born rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, together with album artwork from the original Black Sabbath line-up. It opened on 25 June 2025 and was created to coincide with Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning homecoming concert at Villa Park on 5 July 2025. Displays include Grammy Awards, MTV honours, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame accolades, Hollywood Walk of Fame and Birmingham Walk of Stars honours, gold and platinum discs, photography, video and personal memorabilia tracing Osbourne’s journey from a working-class childhood in Aston to international rock fame. Ozzy Osbourne died on 22 July 2025 aged 76, after which the exhibition became an important focus for fans commemorating his life and legacy. Continued public demand led Birmingham Museums to extend the exhibition twice, with Working Class Hero remaining on display until 27 September 2026. A fan tribute wall was added in December 2025, and in July 2026 the black Gothic-style throne used during Osbourne’s final solo performance and Black Sabbath’s final concert was added. The photograph shows the strong graphic identity of the gallery entrance, with the famous Ozzy name rendered in oversized illuminated lettering against dark walls, display panels and cases continuing along the historic museum interior. The high arched ceiling, tiled floor and visitors give context to the setting. This is an indoor summer scene, so no sky or weather conditions are visible. The display forms part of Birmingham’s celebration of the singer and the city’s internationally significant Black Sabbath and heavy-metal heritage
