Torus Housing Group and Torus Foundation information stand welcomes visitors inside the tented exhibition village at Warrington Disability Awareness Day 2026. Staff stand behind a table filled with leaflets, pens, booklets, colourful promotional items and a decorated sheep figure, while visitors stop to discuss available services. Large purple banners carry the Torus name and the slogan “Growing Stronger Communities”, with Torus Foundation branding displayed across the tablecloth. Torus is a major North West affordable housing provider, owning and managing around 40, 000 homes across Warrington, St Helens, Liverpool and surrounding areas. Its charitable arm, Torus Foundation, supports tenants and wider communities through programmes linked to employment, skills, health and wellbeing, financial inclusion, digital access, energy advice and stronger neighbourhoods. The visible “Let’s talk energy” display reflects practical help intended to reduce household costs and improve financial resilience. The stand formed part of the voluntary, public-sector, charitable and commercial exhibition at Disability Awareness Day, held at Walton Hall and Gardens in Higher Walton, Warrington, in July 2026. Organised by Warrington Disability Partnership, the annual free event promotes independent living and gives disabled people, families and carers access to information, equipment, advice, sport, arts and entertainment. The photograph illustrates how social landlords increasingly work beyond managing and maintaining homes, using community investment and partnership activity to address employment barriers, poverty, isolation, health inequalities and access to support. Rainbow decorations, bright merchandise and approachable staff give the display a welcoming festival character beneath the white summer marquee. The image also documents corporate participation, disability inclusion, social value and resident engagement at a voluntary-led pan-disability event.
