A giant WeAreWarrington BID deckchair stands on the lawn in front of the famous Golden Gates at Warrington Town Hall during the 2026 Warrington Food and Drink Festival. The bright blue promotional seat carries the festival branding and creates a playful photo opportunity against one of the town’s best-known historic landmarks. The image was taken during the free town-centre festival held on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026 across Bank Park and the grounds of Warrington Town Hall. The event brought together street-food vendors, artisan producers, drinks businesses and independent traders, alongside live music, demonstrations, workshops and family entertainment. The oversized deckchair reflects the event’s informal summer atmosphere and the work of Warrington Business Improvement District in promoting the town centre as a place to visit, shop, eat and spend leisure time. Behind the chair, the elaborate black and gold entrance gates form a decorative backdrop. Their ornate ironwork, gilded details, sculptural figures and central crest contrast with the modern festival sign. Warrington Town Hall was originally built as Bank Hall in the eighteenth century, while the monumental gates were later brought to the site and became an enduring civic symbol. Sunshine falls across the grass and metalwork beneath a blue sky filled with white and grey clouds. The composition combines heritage architecture, destination marketing and contemporary event promotion. It shows how a historic municipal setting can host public celebrations, encourage town-centre footfall and support hospitality, independent businesses and the visitor economy. The photograph also records an example of experiential branding, with the giant deckchair designed to attract attention and encourage visitors to pose and share images. The Food and Drink Festival signage, Town Hall gates and landscaped Bank Park setting clearly identify the event with Warrington, Cheshire, and North West England.
