Wigan Civic Centre and Face of Wigan sculpture panorama in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, UK. The wide view shows the municipal civic complex on the left and the monumental head sculpture standing prominently on a landscaped green space to the right, with modern buildings and street infrastructure beyond. The photograph is suitable for editorial coverage of Wigan Council, local government, public art, civic architecture, urban regeneration, municipal services, town-centre public realm, Greater Manchester and local identity. The Face of Wigan provides a striking visual focal point and contrasts with the functional modern civic buildings surrounding it. The panorama is particularly useful for stories about council services, public investment, civic spaces, regeneration schemes, local authority property, arts in public places and the changing appearance of Wigan town centre. Bright daylight, open grass and a broad streetscape give the scene a clear contemporary documentary character.
