Behind the wooden fence lies Toyouke Daijingu (豊受大神宮), a shrine dedicated to Toyouke-hime, the goddess of food. On the site in the foreground, an identical replica is being built following the Shikinen Sengu ritual; in 2033, the shrine’s sacred functions will be transferred to this new structure.
