In 1959, Duisburg Ruhrort had 125 pubs spread over an area roughly the size of nine football pitches. Only five pubs remain. One of them is “Alt-Ruhrort” at Neumarkt 3, also known as “Zum Atze”, run by Gerda. The pub served as a filming location for the TV series *Schimanski* and remains a meeting place for locals to this day. Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
