Vineyard rows lead the eye across Hochwart on the island of Reichenau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, towards the historic church of St George in Oberzell. Winegrowing there dates back more than 1,200 years, closely tied to the monastery's history: monks planted the first vines in the 9th century. Müller-Thurgau is now the main variety, grown on a total of 22 hectares.
