Winegrowing has a tradition stretching back over 1,200 years on the island of Reichenau, closely linked to the history of the monastery. The first vine was planted by monks in the 9th century. Today, Müller-Thurgau is the main variety grown on a total of 22 hectares. A sunny view over the green vineyards in Hochwart on the island of Reichenau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
