A painting on an outside door shows a little boy stretching in vain to put a letter in the real letterbox, Rue Léonard Jarraud, Angoulême, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. Even the letterbox becomes part of a tricky comic scene. The boy in a large blue cap, a striped jumper and baggy trousers stretches upwards and holds the letter high above his head. The painted wooden door belongs to house number 10 and stands between two shuttered doorways. The city has been a UNESCO Creative City of Literature since 2019.
