Wendover, Buckinghamshire, UK. 29th April, 2021. Stop HS2 activists were outside Road Barn Farm in Wendover today with a life size white elephant. Locals are furious that HS2 have destroyed a huge area of woodland on the farm in preparation for building a bentonite factory. The farmhouse and barns are to be demolished by HS2 too. The costs of the High Speed 2 HS2 railway from London to Birmingham are spiralling out of control. HS2 puts 108 ancient woodlands, 33 SSSIs and 693 wildlife sites at risk.
