View of a tree with burls on the surface of its truck on a street in Wuhan city, central China's Hubei province, 15 September 2018. A tree was spotted with a bizarre surface that quickly gained the public's concern in the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province on Saturday (15 September 2018). Dong Likun, a plant protection expert from Wuhan Gardens Science Research Institute, has examined the tree which has grown in a deformed manner and said the phenomenon is commonly found on a tree's trunk or branches and may have been caused by injuries, a virus or a fungus. The story has been considered an alert to warn people to protect trees.
