When hippos fight, they use their razor-sharp teeth as weapons. When fighting, hippos use their mouths like buckets to toss water at each other.They also grunt, growl, snort, bellow, honk, and roar as they charge at each other. These images were captured by Hema Palan (41) on the Kazinga Channel in Uganda with a Nikon D500.Kazinga channel is located in Kasese district within the Queen Elizabeth National Park.?While cruising through the Kazinga channel I came across these hippos fighting for dominance, ? said Hema?I was extremely intrigued to watch this hippo battle.?Mostly hippos fight with each other for the leadership of the herd.?They also fight over matters of territory.?They frequently open their mouths wide as a show of dominance.? mediadrumimages/HemaPalan
