Tucson, Arizona June 18th 2020, smoke and flames in the Bighorn Wildfire in the steep rugged terain of Ventana Canyon. The Bighorn fire was caused by a lightning strike in dry brush in the the Pusch Ridge area of the Santa Catalina Mountains located just North of Tucson and the fire has spread Northward and Eastward. The Bighorn fire is 23,800 acres and is 40 percent contained. Evacuations were underway today for people living in the path of the fire.
