These Munda women are selling flat leaf plates made of Saal leaves ( Shorea Robusta ) pinned together with small bamboo sticks and placed on the ground for eating rice and daal . The Saal leaf is called Sakhua . This is a common leaf plate used in all the tribal village households of Jharkhand . The bunch of twigs on the right hand side are the young branches of the same tree used for brushing the teeth known as Datwan.
