The heads of state discussed issues related to artificial intelligence, the Middle East and energy. The main topic was the issue of a settlement in Ukraine. Donald Trump spoke in favor of an early cessation of hostilities and a peaceful solution to the problem. Vladimir Putin, for his part mentioned the need to eliminate the root causes of the conflict and agreed with Donald Trump that a long-term settlement can be achieved through peaceful negotiations. Both sides instructed their teams to begin negotiations "immediately." The negotiations on the American side will be led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
