Super Star Mary Wilson of Motown Record”s "The Supremes"  visited Wilkes Barre's Fine Arts Fiesta in 1991 and Shocked & Rocked--arguably the largest crowd in Fiesta history. It really was back in the day... The place, dear hearts, was Wilkes-Barre's Fine Arts Fiesta. There she stood up on the stage... and Mary Wilson was simply Rockin' the place...I really mean Rockin' the place. The crowd was mesmerized, and so was I. Mary Wilson, of the Supremes, was giving them everything they had hoped for. The faces in the crowd displayed overwhelming admiration for this former Motown Star. Could one women totally capture the hearts and souls of so many people? The answer was “You bet your Sweet Supremes she could” I was up front at the edge of the stage, anxiously waiting for the 'moment'... and then it happened at the end of "You Can't Hurry Love"! The crowd behind me was on it's feet screaming! The entire stage was visibly shaking! ...and the Dream girl hit the pose I was waiting for! The Crowd just kept on screaming, it was a mad house! Later that evening, Brian Benedetti, the Executive Dir. of Fiesta said to me, "My God, do you believe this lady?!". That evening, at a private gathering for the “In Crowd” at the W-B's Ramada Inn, I had a chance to speak with Mary Wilson and I found that she is, without a doubt, one of the most engaging, together people, I had ever met. A really sincere person...She autographed a roll of film I had in my sport coat pocket for me...I later framed it with her photograph.
