The fish had been caught and examined during the trial fishing on the Nuthe. There the animal was released 3 to 4 years ago what the fishermen noticed at a mark on the pelvic fin. In the meantime, the salmon had swum as far as the Atlantic and has now returned to the Nuthe for spawning.
