It is used by Roman Catholic and some Anglican clergy at non-eucharistic functions.

The original dial dates from 1642 and the one seen here shows the table of corrections for the phase of the moon and features among many things, the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Moondials are time pieces similar to a sundial. Queens' is one of the oldest colleges of the University founded in 1448.
