RME0YYEN–Nov. 11, 1971 - SQUIRRELS DIE IN AIR TRIP. Customs men and RSPCA officials at Heathrow Airport were shocked when they opened three crates from a plane. They found two gibbons and 100 squirrels- jammed into what appeared to be secret compartments in the crates. The gibbons were exhausted. Thirty-eight of the squirrels were dead, and three more died later at the airport's RSPCA center. Customs men immediately launched an international investigation. RMT04PA1–WWI JOIN THE AIR SERVICE AND SERVE IN FRANCE by Verrees 1917 At the start of the Great War, the airplane was only ten years old, and the U.S. military ranked 16th in the world, just behind Portugal. By July of 1917, General John J. Pershing requested a force of one million men. To appeal to potential recruits, a propaganda campaign was crafted by the Committee on Public Information that included recruiting posters by some of America’s top illustrators. Themes of honour, patriotism, adventure, education, and heroism themed these recruitment call-to-action posters.

RME0Y3TH–Jul. 07, 1968 - Six people die in air crash; Six people were killed and six injured as an Elizabethan freighter of BKS the independent airline, crashed on landing at Heathrow Airport yesterday. Struck three parked BEa airliners and smashed into the wall of a passenger building under construction. The crashed plane was returning eight brood mares and fosils from Deauville, France. to study farms in the South of England. The plane;s crow of three and three grooms on board died. All the hoses were killed or had to be destroyed
