RM2H7HNDC–A 1950s advert for Bronco toilet paper. The advert appeared in a magazine published in the UK in November 1955. The advert shows both the rolls and a pack(et) version of the hard paper and explains that this popular hard type of paper was both economical and hygienic. The British Patent Perforated Paper Company began producing toilet paper in the 1890s. It was not until the late 1920s that soft tissue paper became economically viable. The softer type gradually overtook the hard papers like Izal and Bronco. Bronco was last sold in 1989 – vintage 1950s graphics for editorial use.
