RM2DGAD11–A portrait of H G Lowe, survivor of the Titanic disaster. --- Commander Harold Godfrey Lowe RD, RNR (21 November 1882 – 12 May 1944) was the 5th officer of the RMS Titanic. He was asleep in his quarters when the ship hit the iceberg at 11.40 PM. Following the event as one of the officers assigned to lifeboats, he organised many of the boats into a flotilla and directed them away from the sinking ship; but is said to have returned to pick up survivors after the Titanic had gone down.He was made a commander in the Royal Naval Reserve during WWI.

RME11A7M–Sep. 21, 1976 - Two sailors were killed and ten were missing last night after the Royal Naval Reserve minesweeper Fittleton, 360 tons, collided off northern Holland with the Royal Navy frigate, Mermaid, 2,300 tons. All the casualties were from the Fittleton, which capsized and sank. Thirty two survivors from the Fittleton, three of them injured, were picked up by the Mermaid, which was virtually undamaged. Both ships were taking part in the massive NATO exercise ''Teamwork'', which involves 80,000 personnel, 275 ships and 900 aircraft from nine countries
