RM2GXDNGN–A 1960s advert for Nairn linoleum (lino) from the company based in Kirkaldy, Fife, Scotland, UK. The advert appeared in a magazine published in the UK in October 1962. The photograph shows a patterned lino-tile design on the floor of a mid-century living-room. The designer, Gordon Good, is also photographed. Linoleum, more commonly lino, is a floor covering made from natural materials. Kirkcaldy becoming a significant producer, with seven factories in the town. Nairn’s works began making linoleum in 1877 and it now claims to be the largest producer in the world – vintage 1960s graphics.
