Aug. 08, 1954 - Wife of TV Producer with New Baby. Mrs. Gillian Afton, 24 year old wife of Richard Afton, the TV producer, recently gave birth to a boy in London Clinic. She was former Television Topper joining the show when they were known as the Music Hall Maids. For Gillian it was the traditional story book ending of marrying her boss. She wrote asking for an audition when she read that TV wanted dancers for the Music Hall Maids and so joined the team working for Richard Afton. Later they were renamed the Toppers. The baby will be named Richard Anthony.
