RM2J0H06R–A late 18th century illustration of Ipomoea mauritiana, a type of morning glory plant belonging to the genus Ipomoea and Family: Convolvulaceae and growing as a vine. Originally from West Africa, as well as Australia's Northern Territory it is naturalised in many parts of the world. From 'Plantarum rariorum horti caesari schoenbrunnensis', published in 1797, describing plants cultivated in the royal garden at the Palace of Schönbrunn near Vienna. Compiled by Nikolaus Joseph Freiherr von Jacquin (1727-1817), a Dutch scientist who studied medicine, chemistry and botany.
