RMMBD7MB–DEMONS - TALISMANS The winged horse, Pegasus, carrying a wise-man of magician, holding a talisman. The talisman centres on a triangle, within which is depicted a hand carrying a scimitar: in the corners of the triangle are the letters JSU, intended to represent the name of Jesus. The entire figure was probably intended to be prophetic of the Greek struggle for Independence from the Turks. It was in 1824 that Lord Byron died, at Missolonghi.
