RME0XC6J–Feb. 07, 1966 - Pictures from the moon received at Jodrell bank: History was made at Jodrell Bank, Britain's space tracking station when pictures from the moon's surface were received there on Friday, direct from Luna -9 the Russian spaceship now parked on the Ocean at Storms. Excited scientists at Jodrell Bank captured the pictures by tapping the streams of signals relayed back to Russia by Luna-9.
