The aim of mass participation in non-violent direct action and civil disobedience was to draw attention to the Climate Crisis and biodiversity loss. Extinction Rebellion demands are that governments tell the public the truth about the real extent of the Crisis, take action now to reduce CO2 emissions and set up Citizens Assemblies to oversee policy changes.
