RM2RG9NBK–Royal Aircraft Factory (R.A.F.) B.E.2a, (B.E. - Bleroit Experimental), flown by Wingfield Smith, powered by an air-cooled 70hp Renault V-8 engine, with the early un-staggered main-planes This aircraft was used for testing oleo-pneumatic spring/shock absorbers in the main undercarriage, as well as unusual inter-plane struts and unusual undercarriage skids with hooks in their noses.

RM2RG9NB7–Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.2, powered by an air-cooled 70hp Renault V-8 engine, (R.A.F. - Royal Aircraft Factory), (F.E. - Farman Experimental). This was the second F.E.2, with revised tail surfaces and the outer wings copied from the B.E.2. Neither of the two F.E.2s were fitted with fins, which, unsurprisingly led to instability in yaw, which brought about its end on 23 February 1914, when it span to the ground killing Ronald Kemps passenger.

The first of a series of experimental powered aircraft designed and built by the A.E.A., which had been formed by Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, with J. A. D. McCurdy (a Canadian), Lt.Thomas Selfridge of the US Army, and F. W. Casey Baldwin (not to be confused with Captain Baldwin) and Curtiss as Director of Experiments.
