A new type oil fence device, designed to work by novel principals has been developed by a Japanese rubber company, and tried cut in the sea off the port of Tokuyma where oil tankers berth to empty of hill at a petroleum refinery. The conventional oil fences in use against spillage, are towed around tankers, but the new oik fence is a permanent installation moored to the sea bed, and brought to the surface by compressed air to take its oil stemming position, giving it the name of the ''floating submerging fence''

It was built between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate Napoleon's military victories of the previous year. They are just over 6ft tall, and are constructed of steel and aluminum. The floor is covered by a fireproof fabric, and console for two directories can also be used as a desk and the round sliding door is made of safety glass.

In the Chemnitz Art Collections, the designer Karl Clauss Dietel stands behind a display case with a vehicle model from 1971/72, which he designed together with the designer Lutz Rudolph. Entitled 'Simson, Diamant, Erika - Form Design by Karl Clauss Dietel', the show provides an insight into the designer's work. Aware of the importance of a cohesive oeuvre, Dietel archived his life's work for decades and in 2019 handed it over in its entirety to the care of the Städtische Kunstsammlungen.
